One of the main objectives of Transition to Betterness is to transform the hospital surroundings from a cold antiseptic atmosphere into a more comfortable home-like setting for patients and their families.

All patient rooms on the Oncology Unit at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus, have been completely refurbished. As of January 2002, 13 patient rooms have been completed along with a new Cancer Resource Library, Family Servery, four Palliative rooms, Medical Daycare, Lymphedema room, and improvements have been made to the Atrium.

T2B has also committed to refurbishment projects at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, Leamington Memorial District Hospital, and Windsor Regional Hospital – Paediatric Oncology Satellite Unit. T2B is also returning this year to their original refurbishment project on the Adult Oncology Floor of Windsor Regional Hospital to update the work in which we have already completed.
