T2B is seeking new volunteers.
We are looking for volunteers for two programs, our Comfort Cart Program and Concierge Program. Comfort Cart travels around daily with pastries, beverages and frozen yogurts to the patients and their families. The Concierge Program operate similarly to a hotel concierge service. We offer toiletries, playing cards, newspapers etc. to the patients and their families as they need them. We also offer parking passes, guest tray cards for meals and Tim Horton gift cards.
Who are we looking for?
We are searching for compassionate and dedicated individuals who are 18 years or older to help us assist with the day to day needs of the patients and their loved ones being serviced within these units. <.p?
What kind of commitment is required?
T2B is very flexible. The amount of volunteer time that you are able to designate can be decided by you. Regardless if you can volunteer once a week or once a month, we invite all individuals who would like to join the T2B family in providing comfort and compassion to members of our community. We ask that you understand, by agreeing to a volunteer shift, you are committing to the importance of these services. Our patients and their families look forward to our services and rely on us daily.
How do I get started?
Note: To work in the hospital we require all volunteers to go through a 2 step TB test and to get their police clearance.
