WHAT AN INCREDIBLE NIGHT! On Friday November 1st, DECK THE DOLLS ‘tis the season to be seen, hosted by Stephanie and Barry Zekelman raised over HALF A MILLION DOLLARS to support Transition to Betterness and the Dr. Lisa Ventrella-Lucente Greenhouse project, specially the Community Kitchen. It was a spectacular evening with our exceptionally generous donors.
We are proud to say that the Greenhouse part of this special project is fully funded by our friends at Mucci Farms and Thermo Energy. This greenhouse and community kitchen project will be the only of its kind in Canada located at the Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare -Malden Campus, where we already run so many of our programs. We will be able to run EVEN MORE programs and great initiatives through this facility; everything from therapeutic gardening classes for mental health & rehab patients, customize workshops and tours for schools, horticultural classes, seasonal farmers market, venue rental and so much more. A HUGE thank you to our partners at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare.
Thank you to our generous partners Saks Fifth Avenue -Troy, for hosting this spectacular event. The evening began with a strolling dinner, drinks and live entertainment by Ben Sharkey. Guests enjoyed a butt sketcher, fashion sketcher, live custom fashion artist Eric Lowry, Veuve Clicquot & Belvedere lounge, Cappuccino Man with Wolfhead coffee liqueur, Rollow rolled ice cream bar, Live DJ, an enormous dessert bar by Shelby’s Sweet Shoppe, themed cookies by Cookies by Kathy, The Best of Saks Fashion Show and so much more! Thank you to Saks Fifth Avenue and Eddie V’s for donating the beautiful raffle prizes. The evening concluded with a stylish After Party at Eddie V’s.
Thank you to our emcee and official T2B spokesperson, Dave Hunter from Dave and Chuck the Freak show on 101.1 WRIF who started the evening with laughs. We are so grateful that Dave is always here to support all of our initiatives.
