Program Overview

The Dr. Michelle Prince Comfort Care Tote Program was launched in May 2018 to support and empower patients at the very start of their cancer journey. Offered at the Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Centre, the program provides high-quality, custom tote bags to patients beginning chemotherapy treatment in Windsor, helping them feel cared for from day one of diagnosis.

Each tote is filled with practical and comforting items that were hand-selected by Dr. Michelle Prince based on her own experience with chemotherapy and its side effects. Championing this initiative with compassion and advocacy, Michelle used her journey to support others facing cancer, and her legacy continues through this program by providing comfort, encouragement, and a small ray of sunshine to patients starting treatment.

A group of people, including men and women, gathered in a conference room, holding bags with a logo. They are wearing red shirts with the word 'HERO' and a ribbon symbol. Behind them, a large screen displays a message thanking Caesars Windsor Cares, and the wall has logos and hashtags such as #GiveWhereYouLive and #WeAreT2B, indicating a community or charity event.
  • "Those comfort totes mean so much to the patients receiving treatment at the Cancer Clinic. I was unlucky enough to be there but lucky enough to receive one 1.5 years ago, a very kind gesture that did not go unnoticed."
