At Transition to Betterness (T2B), volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. By giving your time, compassion, and care, you help bring comfort to patients and families during some of life’s most challenging moments. Whether you’re supporting families at the bedside, assisting in hospital units, or helping at community fundraising events, every role makes a meaningful impact.

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities across hospital settings and special events throughout the year.

Tayfour Campus – T2B Palliative Unit
The Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Wing

T2B is seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers to support patients and families within the Palliative Unit at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s Tayfour Campus.

Volunteers in this setting provide comfort and care through two key programs:

T2B Comfort Cart Program
T2B Concierge Cart Program

Volunteer responsibilities may include:

  • Offering comfort items such as snacks, beverages, toiletries, and comfort-care products to patients and families at the bedside

  • Ensuring carts are fully stocked, organized, and welcoming

  • Providing a warm, compassionate presence to help ease stress and anxiety

  • Offering quiet support and kindness during sensitive moments

This role is ideal for individuals who are empathetic, respectful, and comfortable supporting families in a palliative care environment.

Hospital Volunteer Opportunities

Metropolitan Campus

T2B also offers meaningful volunteer opportunities at Windsor Regional Hospital’s Metropolitan Campus, supporting patients and families through the T2B Concierge Program in the Oncology Unit and the Hospitality Café Cart Program.

As a Concierge Program Volunteer, you:

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors

  • Offer T2B’s signature comfort-care items, including toiletries, mindful activities, and reading materials

  • Engage with patients and families by offering a listening ear and compassionate support

  • Stock and replenish snacks, beverages, and comfort items

These roles focus on enhancing the hospital experience by creating moments of care, dignity, and connection.

Windsor Regional Hospital

T2B hosts a variety of fundraising events throughout the year, and we’re always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring them to life.

From assisting with event logistics to welcoming guests, volunteers play a vital role in ensuring our events run smoothly and successfully.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Event set-up and tear-down

  • Registration and guest check-in

  • Supporting on-site activities

  • Engaging with participants and sharing T2B’s mission

Past events include:
Ride to Survive, Purple Rain Run, and various third-party community events.
