Green Roof Project
T2B partnered with Windsor Regional Hospital to complete the hospital’s first green roof for the Paediatric Unit, transforming what was once an industrial tar rooftop into a vibrant, comforting space for young patients. Before the project, children looked out from their hospital rooms onto a plain roof surface, offering little inspiration during treatment.
With T2B’s support, the roof was redesigned to reflect the Safari theme of the Paediatric Oncology Satellite Unit and now features live grass and large safari animals such as elephants, giraffes, and lions. This imaginative outdoor view brings colour, joy, and a sense of wonder to the hospital environment, helping enhance comfort and positivity throughout a child’s care journey.
