T2B, as Pioneers in creating comfortable and compassionate health care settings for oncology patients and families, was presented with their first opportunity for a capital campaign which they called “From Rooms to Wings”. This campaign was the reconstruction of the entire Palliative Care Unit at Hotel Dieu Grace Health Care at the Tayfour Campus. On September 27th, 2013, T2B opened the 20-bed unit and once again brought a five star hotel feel to the hospital environment. The unit has been refurbished to include a family kitchen, family lounge, reception, nurse’s station, and spacious hallways with inspirational murals, stunning wood flooring, woodwork within the patient rooms, warm wallpaper and paint colours. This new unit is now known as the “T2B Palliative Care Unit, Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Wing”.
