Carol Parent - September 2014
Transition to Betterness is happy to announce Carol Parent as September’s volunteer of the Month!
Carol has been with T2B for a few months and is a member of the Concierge Program.
Carol enjoys being on the Oncology Unit and talking to the patients and families facilitating their daily needs. She enjoys making her rounds with the Concierge Cart and helps out with the Comfort Cart also when she is needed. She takes joy in helping others and says that’s what makes her feel so proud when she leaves her volunteering shift. It never fails I always receive a message from Carol the following day telling me how much she enjoyed her shift and all the different people she was able to help, and how great it made her feel. Her ambitious, and outgoing personality doesn't go unnoticed. Carol is always happy, smiling and thinking of ways to help with the program even when she is physically not there. On Carol’s spare time she enjoys cooking, going out for dinners, working out, travelling and volunteering.
We can't thank you enough for your efforts as the patients as well as the family members love your company on the Unit.
Carol you should feel so proud, you are a shining star inside and out.
